connect to internet through wifi via 6315 tmobile
Ok this maybe totally dumb and a lame idea

Can I connect my 4705 to the internet, when all I have is the t-mobile connection on my 6315, both have WIFI and BT......

I know what your thinking, if I have connection through my 6315, why do I need to connect the 4705

I was just wondering if it can be done...

This may need a new topic, but here's a thought...

I have the internet option from t-mobile for $29.00, I can add hotspot to my plan for another $20.

If I did that, is the hotspot access tied the 6315, or could I access a t-mobile hotspot from my 4705

emmmm....

Thanks
Dean

I have a question: have you ask someone at T-Mobile's customer service?

i think the wifi is tied to your login name... you might be able to load whatever software tmobile gives you onto the 4700...
you may be able to use bt dial up networking to get online through the gprs connection on the 6315, but i'm unsure if tmobile locked that feature... it was locked on my treo 650- but we all know how that turned out... if you do use bt dun, you cannot receive calls at the same time and you're limited to gprs speeds...

Since you have the data plan you should be able to but like Kenundrum said they may have locked this out, they did this on the blackberry 7100t. Try having your ipaq dial up *99#, or *99***1#.

It worked *99#
Hi ,

It worked, I set up the 4700 to looked for a Blue tooth modem, I asked it to dial *99#, my 6315, ask if I wanted to let the blue tooth connect to the internet and it worked, I was able to surf the web and get my email on my 4700 via the 6315...
I going to try my bluetooth enabled powerbook next...

Thanks
Dean
