because, being available isnt being "connected" and you will not get a green disk untill its "connected" and authorized. you can actually be connected, but not authorized...and its still not going to green up... to be authorized means one of two things.. one.. there is no encription on the net..and you can connect and surf... or
two.. theres encription and unless you have the KEY your not going to green up...
and three..you can green to some networks wardriving..( just roaming around seeing if it will hook up somewhere) but NOT ALL CONNECTIIONS HAVE THE INTERNET AVAILABLE...THEY ARE DATA ONLY CONNECTIONS....
SO...BE SURE WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO CONNECT TO..
SECOND question... is there a router on this net your trying to connect to ?

One: i know there is one available and sometimes the status is connected, but still the light is amber.... and therefore i can't use is.
second: no, there's no router trying to conect me.....
