Linksys WRV54G
After I purchase a hx4705, I'm considering a WRV54G to act as a Firewall as well as an access point for the IPAQ.

Has anybody here got one of these? Any problems?

I've seen some threads regarding problems with other access points, and was wondering if anyone could offer some insight on this model.

the specific type of AP is not really important as long as it supports all major standards, usually linksys builds quality equipment, please keep in mind that you keep the wireless distance to a minimum to ensure good and stable transferrates. (divx over wifi is possible)

oh btw i wrote this message on my hx4700 over wifi!

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure it didn't have the same problem as the Cisco's.

I think I'll be ordering my IPAQ soon.

HX4700 and Linksys WRT54GS work well using WPA with TKIP. No 802.1x on either side, which I believe was the biggest problem with Cisco APs.

Well, the reason I was interested in the WRV54G, is so that I would be able to VPN HOME and do a sync. While I'll use this for both work, and home, I prefer not to sync to my work.

I have a WRT54G and it is excellent, good range, easy to set up etc.
