Hi everybody,
I have hx4700 with french windows. I tried a lot of software to make it english without success. Finally i tried to upload WM2005 ...and corrupted the rom of ipaq.
Now when i plug it into usb the computer detects the device but the only thing on the screen is HP INVENT logo, "USB" on the top of the screen and v1.01 on the bottom.
If anybody have the same problem or knows solution plase give me information

It is a beta (early at that) and I believe it is only for PPC Phone Edition devices. You'll probably need to obtain a new ROM image and bootstrap/bootloader...

Why would you attempt an install of a phone edition onto the hx4700 series???? Hate to say it, but HP will probably tell you to pound sand, and at this present time, there is NO rom image out there that'll put you back together.

Folks, this is just another fine reason to avoid pirated software.

Yes but i undertand that too late
Now i succeed logging into bootstrap loader, and i am able to write the rom on sd card, and to flash the device back from sd card.
Now i need somebody with HX4700 to help me.
If you own hx4700 and want to help me do not hesistate to contact me
All you will have to do is to enter bootstrap with MTTY from windows,
use d2s command to backup the ROM on formatted SD card, then use ntrw to copy the rom from SD card, and then send it to me and make me happy )))

And Along With It Is The Device Serial Number, The Device O/s Product Key,
The Device Mac Address.. Ect Ect... No Thanks.. Not To Be Dis Respectfull But This Sounds Like About The Easiest Way To Steal A Copy Of Win Mobile 2003 Ive Heard Of... In Case You Dont Know It.. The Copies Of Win Mobile Are Product Keyed To The Actual 47oo They Are Installed On , One Copy Wont Run On Another Machine, Without Serious Registry Hacks..previous To Installing It.. And I Dont See How You Can Read The Key To Change It Without It Being Installed... Catch 22... Little Secret From Hp And Microsoft.. However If Im Wrong..then You Have My Apoogies...

I'm an adventurer myself in terms of image download/upload.

Do you mind send me the address where I can download the bootstrap loader from for 4700? I have been searching for it but with no luck.

If I can be successful, I will try to upload the image for you to use. BTW, I have English ROM. Is this what you want?

Please advise.
