Hi,

I've included this info in another thread, but thought I'd create a new thread in case some people miss it.

Below is the reply I got from HP: -

two weeks ago I advised that the rom update was coming in april, but i hadnt had time to chase it down any further, much thanks to you for doing so ! greatly appreciated by everyone... perhaps this has to do with the audio patch dissapearing..
as for wm10..yea ok..its a substantial improvemnt over what we got.. but who uses it anyway...we have better now... what we need in this upgrade are some of the annoying bugs fixed and ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND FEATURES TO WINDOWS ITSELF ADDED IN.. IT JUST PLAIN SUCKS...IN THAT RESPECT..other than that..we can hope for TABS so our thread buddy is happy.

Windows Media Player 2005 isn't even available yet, right? How could they put it in this new ROM update? I am not really looking forward to this because I will have to reinstall all of my applications. Hopefully, it will fix the bluetooth issue I have.

Since we will have to Hard reset. Which I am sure will have to be done. I wonder if it would be possible to make a backup using the built in backup software before the update of the ROM. Then install the ROM Update and restore. Think it would work?

It's pretty bad in SE because of scrolling problems. See my mini review at, for example, http://www.pocketmatrix.com/forums/v...ic.php?t=20782 on it.

EH Thats why its a beta

I don't have a problem with the tabs being to big as I alway go full screen then revert back to change pages. There are some issues with buttons not lining up but appart from that I love it.
