Propose Microdrive concepts for hx4700!
Hi All,

My company is working on concept products, software and hardware, for Hitachi. I am also a HX4700 owner with MD + many CF/SD add ons - plus the prototypes we build in house.

I would like to open a door to your proposals for 'dream' hardware features, software capabilities, firmware code access, documentation, pretty much any concepts for the Microdrive in the IPAQ. Of course I cannot guarantee it will get into a final product, but if its exciting enough to move forward then I will share all with the community!

P.s. the serial pinouts for hx4700 were very useful, thanks posters, I will add some of our own prototypes soon via our website!

keep hacking!

Raider, your comments here are way off base...this is a friendly community - most of your posts lately have been flames, and those types of response aren't requested, desired, needed, or tolerated.

All the orginal poster was asking for were ideas from a community that is very entrenched in the technology he's working with. I get from the post that his company wants to investigate complete solutions using the MicroDrive...

You're free to post your opinion if you think it's a futile move, but PLEASE do it in a more professional way.

Also, turn your CAPS LOCK off...and consider yourself warned about your attitude on the boards.

Let's all just try to get along

I see someone beat me to the post removal...

Hi,
USB cards... investigating the upcoming arrival of WirelessUSB for peripheral device connectivity at that moment - more for your 'second drive' than your primary. USB-OTG is cool and we'll most likely see 3rd party vendors producing these models as with standard USB external microdrive now...

what about a display?
