running 2 audio apps at once.
Hello.

First up, thanks for all the help so far. This is a very useful site.

Right, more questions....

If I use the hx4700 in the car can i run tom tom navigator, for example, and at the same time be listening to some mp3's.

The idea is to have one of those 'air transmitters' plugged into the hx4700 that enables you to tune your radio in to pick up the audio from the PDA.

So, will the mp3's play and the tom tom nav voice directions also work over the music or is that just not going to work?

Thanks

Lorax.

Funny you should mention this, I was thinking the same thing last night.

Only problem I've found is that the Ibiz CF radio that I was thinking off, is not listed on the IBiz website as working with the HX4700.

Have you sourced a CF radio that does work ?

Why would i want a CF radio!? I have a radio in the car. I'm talking about playing mp3's from the hx4700 via the in car stereo while at the same time using tomtom navigator.

Sorry, I've mistaken what you were trying to do.

I'm aiming to have TTNav5 audio output fed through my car's audio system - thus nulifying the car's radio/cd etc. Ideally what I'd like is for radio to have say volume 4, 4700's output at say 10, so I go the radio constantly playing, with the odd instruction from TomTom coming through louder.

Lorax, let me know how your FM transmitter works and what type you go with...I picked up a $29.99CAD one from Radio Shack to plug into my iPOD Shuffle and it...SUCKED...no range on the FM...I'm sure there are better ones though, so I'm curious to hear about your success.

Thanks Robert, that sounds promising.

ciscoKid, I'll let you know, but i haven't actually got a transmitter yet. A friend had one for his ipod that he said worked ok.

In fact i haven't got the pda yet!!! I'm doing lots of research. Hence all these questions.

I bought this little GE FM transmitter from Ebay for about £20 (sorry photo with phone) and it works perfectly, the range is not amazing, but it works in the car ok.

Also, do you guys ever listen to an MP3 on pocket music or WM player whilst also playing a game like Bejewelled 2, the 4700 mixes both sound sources great.

Hope this helps.
