How to maximize battery life.
I wanted to know how to increase my battery life. Besides the obvious of turning the screen lower what others are there? I have used XCPU Scaler to clockMy 4700 down when I dont need the full power. Is there anything else I can do?

Expansys are now selling a baseball cap made from solar charging panels, with this connected to your iPAQ and you can walk about for weeks and weeks with IR, wifi, playing MP3's and your screen on full brightness. Just remember to go out into the sunlight occasionally.

As you can tell from responses there, isn't much more you can do on the battery saving area. However, on the other side you can invest in a new battery.

Hey, how much more juice does the extended battery provide in terms of up-time. I'm toying with the idea myself. As has been pointed out previously on this forum though, there does appear to be a slight gap in the market for a suitable case to accomodate the increased bulk.

Underclocking and screen brightness are the top ones. Also you can set your device to shutoff at a certain time when idle (highly recommended). Also only use the BT and Wifi radio when needed. Also using microdrives will suck the juice out of your battery.
