Icon removal
I unloaded a program that was not working properly from my Ipaq 4705, however, the icon remains in my program menu. How do I remove it?

Use File Explorer on your PDA to go to Start->Windows->Start Menu->Programs.

That's where you'll find the dead links.

I might also ask how you "unloaded" the program. Usually icons clean themselves up unless you have moved the icon or uninstalled the app manually.

Just like big Windows, it is rarely the case that everything disappears after a deinstallation, try adding and removing some appz and check you registry, a lot of crap is left behind. If you are a bit like me, trying out appz once in a while you just have to hard reset your device and startover. Just collect all the appz you like into one installation folder, so you will be up and running in a few minutes. (If you do such a fresh install, create a backup immediatly after) I believe I have my HX4700 since February and have already hard reset it at least six times to start over.

This is an area where Palm is absolutely superior to PocketPC (not that this doesn't happen on PalmOS, but certainly a lot less)

For cleaning the registry, deleting dead icons and links, and deleting temporary files, Space Reclaimer from http://www.valksoft.com seems to do a good job on my 4700.

I have it installed on my CF card, so it isn't taking up valuable main storage; works fine from there.
