Image software for 8mp images ?
Does anyone know of software which I can use to view 8mp jpgs on my 4700 ? I have tried the HP Image viewer and Resco viewer and neither will allow me to zoom in to 100% view.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks

Alan

Give PocketLoupe a try - it handles most recent RAW and JPG formats nicely. I use it to review images from my Canon 1D2.

if you are looking into editing as well you have two softwares:
http://www.conduits.com/products/artist/
easy to use, have much in common with photoshop - i have the older version and i love it.
You can also use this:

it was too much for me ($$$)

None of the above will let me zoom in to 100% view. HP Image will work at 50%. Pocket Artist will only allow 30%.

the programs listed above are pretty much the premium pict. viewers for PPC. I would head on over to PocketGear and do a search you may find some we don't know about.

Quite simple: Imageer from Spb Software.
Can open 11Mp pictures and depending on your available memory, can dispaly them 100%.

Tried that - it will still only display 50% size.

Looks like a limitation of the 4700.

I use Resco Photo Viewer to view large images (normally 6mp though, haven't tried 8mp). This was not possible using Spb Imageer which I formerly used.
So give it a try, it's very fast and handy and is the best application for viewing large images that I have tried.
You can also do some editing.
Btw, there is a special offer on it on www.pocketland.de for two more days.

Best regard
Filologen

I feel your pain, I need to access .Jpgs that are only 3mb but zoom into 300% "or at least 200%" and have tried most things with no real luck.

Now for the pisser, I always run Wisbar advanced 2 and one day it was disabled for whatever reason so I tried one of my maps ".Jpg" and Resco let me zoom to 300% without the usual out of memory error message. Mind you I have a 4700 with the 128mb Ram upgrade from PPC Techs. Trust me when I tell you I am not out of memory!!! I also only ever run one thing at a time so programs are not stacked up. After the Rom update to 1.10 I cant do it anymore with or without Wisbar loaded. I dont know if it was the Rom update or the fact that i reloaded everything from scratch or??? but I sure wish it would work again. Somebody must know what the deal is here, geeze these are the most powerful machines of the type especially with a Ram upgrade.
