PDF files on 4700.
My last querie was asnwered so quickly & expertly that I will try another.

I have Clear view PDF & Acrobat reader 2.0 for pocket PC on my 4700 & like the Clear view for just that; it offers a clearer presentation of a PDF document but it does not word wrap to fit to window nor will it hyperlink to points in document like acrobat will.

My problem is that I mostly want to use acrobat reader but when you tap on a PDF document it default opens with clearview. How can I make Acrobat reader the default program for these files? I have had a look but cannot seem to find how. One of you clever people will know I'm sure

Thanks

David

Well, It is rather easy. You will need to change the pdf file properties to "associate" and "open with" the with adobe reader. I use Resco file explorer to do this.

RescoFile Explorer

Sorry, it can't be done with MS file explorer

Try reinstaling acrobat reader. it should automatically associated itself with all pdf's

ps have you tried the tweak2k2.net vga brute force on adobe? it makes the pdf's crystal clear even at 40% zoom. I never use pdf clearview

Haven't tried it myself, but there is a freeware tool that will let you manually change file associations located here :

I use gsfinder instead of file explorer, it is free software and in the options section you can change the settings of file allocations just like your windows explorer on your desktop!

Your file association will need to be corrected so that it will open Acrobat and not ClearView. There are several programs that will do that. PocketTweak will allow you to change file associations.
