Beta testing Windows Mobile 5.0
It would be nice if HP selects some of the hardcore IPAQ4700 users of this forum for beta tests.

I hope someone from HP is reading this and may select one of us.

By the way, I found the following article (posted on the main page)

http://www.brighthand.com/article/Pe..._WM05?site=PPC

The main feature of the WM5 is the memeory management. This feature is hardly covered in article. Personnally it is the most important one.

Personally I would prefer NOT to be a Beta tester for MS products!

Not that I would want to beta test the new OS, but you need to know that the 4700 is not the only device to be upgraded.

Agreed, Beta's are nice for small little apps. However, a new OS Waaaaay too much that could put me out of commission. I wouldn't be the guinea pig.

You read my mind, I started this thread after I had a dream similar to yours.

Well, uh, er, actually you ARE a bester tester for MS. In this role, you are not alone. MS views all of the inhabitants of planet earth, as beta testers and we actually *pay* for this privilege! Truly a business model of genius.

You should be happy that your worthless existence on this bright blue-green earth has been given meaning and purpose by our friends in Redmond, Wash.

funny because people think the same about palmone products.
no one seems to be satisfied with their mobile device manufacturer lately...

I don't think that Kenundrum's comment was aimed solely at Mobile Devices. Personally I rue the day that Windows 2000 was superseded by Windows - Fisher Price.

Hehehe *Amused*... although Windows XP has always performed better than 2000 for me. I remember back in the day when 2k was first released I got a BSOD every 30 minutes (same with ME).

Well, no more beta testing from me - I'm going back to the slate & chalk. The 'Notes' program is pretty good, but the memory is not as high as I would like, & the screen refresh can take a while (especially if my cloth has dried out)

(Now, all I need is a case for it - can anyone recommend a good company? )
