hi,

i've always had problems getting WIFI to activate, the wifi circle stays grey with a red cross.

i have GPRS internet connection working via a bluetooth phone, happy as with that, but i would like to access the internet via a wireless router at work.

i have recently updated the ROM and it worked for a while, detected all sorts of networks while i was in the car, now it wont activate again.

been through settings and searched forums, cant seem to suss it out.

any ideas? thanks in advance.

Does the problem arise after you have used the GPRS? It's not happened to me, but a friend has this problem, which he can only resolve by doing a soft reset after he's used the GPRS.

It may be worth a try.

doing a soft reset doesnt help, its crazy.

the wifi simply wont activate. i hoped the ROM update would fix this but it hasnt.

mind i havent seen that bluetooth memory error since!!

I wonder if you would have any better results by upgrading to the latest 1.10 ROM! It just came out a few days ago and I would do it now, but I'm waiting until I finish school because that will be in just over a week and I don't want to take a chance with not having my iPaq for school if something goes wrong.
