All seems to work with the ROM update, but when I click on a music file (mp3) while exploring my folders Windows Media Player starts up and gives me an error message saying, the file is corrupted and will not play. The same music files play OK in BetaPlayer.

When I start Windows Media Player my PPC seems to go into a continuous search mode. I put the PPC down and it goes into sleep mode before the spinning icon completes and it get to a place where I can do something. Maybe WMP is just a completely new Interface that I don't understand. Is there a good tutorial around explaining how to use it? I use to simply click on the files I wanted to play or start WMP and play, I Think?

I had that problem too. I figured it out, and it was something that got restored with Sprite Backup. So, I hard reset the device and reinstalled all the apps by hand. A pain, but now WMP10 works great.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. I know I'll need to do the hard reset reinstall process, but was hoping I'd get away with it for now. Since BetaPlayer works and all my other applications seem to be OK, I'll wait till I have a free day in a couple months.

It only takes a few hours to get it set up...and only about 30 minutes to load everything...you can play still.

My WMP 10 works after restoring with Sprite.

This is strange.

Make sure it's not something else before you go through the trouble... unless it's too late or you just need to anyway.

I tried a lot of things and finally used the Reg Hack provided by Menneisyys in this thread:

Applied the hack, and whatever it does, WMP10 works on my hx4700 now. Thanks Menneisyys!

Now on to testing a few more applications.
