What is iPAQ File Store2?
Hi,

My hx4700 hung when using PlanMaker. I soft reset it and the HP boot up screen was all distorted. As it seemed to be "stuck" on this screen, I soft reseted it again. The device booted up OK except all my shortcuts pointing to programs on the File Store didn't work. So I loaded up File Explorer and noticed under "My Device" iPAQ File Store and iPAQ File Store2. iPAQ File Store2 now contains all my programs and data that was originally on the iPAQ File Store. In File Explorer, iPAQ File STore2 now has the tiny icon to the left that signifies it is storage and the original, iPAQ File Store, appears as a normal folder.

Is something corrupted? Is there a way of fixing this short of a hard reset?

Thanks.

I had exactly the same thing with my Sd card, suddenly I had a lot of missing links in Programs. And File Explorer showed "Sd card" and "Sd card2", the only difference was that the first one was a folder, and the second was a special folder (star in the icon). I fixed it by renaming "Sd card" to anything else, and doing a soft reset. This sounds very familiar, maybe you can try the same.....
