Keyboards on the top of the screen
My Dad has managed to get his keyboard to move to the TOP of the screen. Which makes it hard to input most text as it covers the text as most programs expect the keyboard to be on the botton of the screen. He's tried a soft reset and it's still the same. Can anybody suggest why this maybe. He says he doesn't know how he got it there.

thanks

Never heard of that before!

So my only suggestion is a hard reset - you may want to wait to see if others have another remedy.

Never heard of it either.

If it isn't gone after a soft reset, then it might be a program that is loading on startup and changing the position of the keyboard.

Go to Windows/StartUp folder and check what's in there.

The following, I think are default, so they can be ignored:
BTTrayCE.lnk
DBMirror.lnk
poutlook.lnk
CWTimeOut.lnk

DBMirror.lnk is only added if you change the setting to 'mirror' your database to your ROM.

CWTimeOut.lnk is from Illium softwares Dockware programme (screensaver) application and so won't necessarily be on there either.

I had already checked the startup stuff with my copy of memmaid. But thanks for the replies. I'm gonna use my copy of sunnysoft backup manager to back everything up and then hard reset and then restore selected stuff and see If/When it happens again.

Off topic, but where is the setting to turn off mirroring?

Possum, under Option in Sprite Backup, make sure you select Switch to Advanced Mode. Then there should be a section called PIM Mirroring. In this section, uncheck Enable PIM Mirroring

Also be sure to delete DBMirror.lnk from Windows\StartUp

That should take care of it for ya.

Hmmm.... I heard of this exact problem on howardforums.com under the Pocket PC forum. I don't know if anyone ever found the solution to this exactly. Nor were they sure how it happened in the first place. Anyway, you are not alone.
