good news, betaplayer and the NEW rom
it was a shame that the betaplayer does not play wmv after the new rom, but i noticed today that if u chance the extension of the wmv file to mpg, betaplayer will play it!

hmmm....

how come i have wmv 9 encoded files and it wont be played... i tho it was the wmv 9 CODEC that was missing...

I have wmv files on an SD card that was removed when I upgraded. Before they played, now they don't. I don't think the ROM upgrade process can change WMV files on external media, especially when it's protected by a 3 foot air gap

Not sure but I know all of my WMV files play fine...I just copy them over and play them...I will try some others tonight and see what happens. Does anybody have a link to files that worked before and not now? I can give those a shot to make sure we are all using the same files...
