HP Image zone
I obviously made a wrong move and need some help. I was trying to do a delayed capture on an internet site and I ended up with about 600 images in my Image Zone. I was able to delete many of them but still have quite a few that come up as read-only and can not delete. Any ideas on how to get rid of them? Most are not actual pictures but appear to be bits and pieces from different web sites.

Thanks for any help.

Hi sptsguy7,

You've probably tried this already, but first thing I'd do in such a situation would be a soft reset to see if that cleared the read-only status of the images.

Yep, I tried that and it didn't work...I'm thinking hard reset might be my only answer but I'm going to hold out just in case somebody has another solution.

Where are these files? Are they on an SD Card, iPaq File Store, or System Ram?

If they are on an SD or CF card, using a card reader on your PC, you should be able to delete them. If they are in the PPC memory, you might try Resco Explorer and delete the files, or the entire folder. Resco Explorer will allow you to delete Read Only Files (not in ROM), and Delete not-empty folders.

Hope this helps.
