hx4700 sent for repairs (Europe), how long will I have to wait?
Out of the box my iPAQ had a small bubble on the screen in the bottom left corner. Not a big fault but annoying. UPS picked it up this friday, any ideas as to how long I'll have to wait before it's returned?

They 're really fast. It could take four or five days...

If UPS picked up, I suppossed he sent it to the Neederlands, to the HP repair service centre.

Yep, I looked at the papers, it's going to the Netherlands.

I've had two instances of having to return an item to HP on warranty and both times it was less than a week and it was back in my happy hands! Hope it's this way for you too!

Not much point after the event, but IpaqChoice have, in my opinion, an amazing "Next Day Exchange", 3 year warranty, for just £56 (UK Pounds).

In my eyes, that was, and still in, staggering value, if indeed, they live by their agreement and get an exchange unit to me next day !

Giving credit where due
The hx4700 just returned from the Netherlands servicecenter!

UPS picked it up in Oslo at around 13:00 on Friday and it was delivered just now, Tuesday 10:15. According to the repair info sheet, the display is changed and as gesture of goodwill or whatever the battery was replaced too. Great service from HP this time

Four days: I won the bet!

They're really impressive (their prices out of warranty too, unfortunately)

Enjoy!

Thats why you pay 550$ for an iPaq hx4700 and 430$ for an Axim X50v!
That is why you can have a good night sleep and not have nightmares about your PDA getting stuck and not being able to fix it ....

ahh the good life ...
