Bad deal? Power issues.
One week into my hx4705, I'm having some problems. The screen flickers, goes yellowish dim, and it appears to be related to power and battery connection. It does it plugged into the wall and on usb and on battery.

Removing the battery for 10 seconds with power off still resulted in hard reset!

Finally, I bought this as "OEM" but it came in a HP box that wasn't original, was open, and had a home-made copy of the installation cd in it.

Should I:

1. Get a refund
2. Get it serviced under warranty
3. Take an exchange from the seller

Welcome to the site.

If you call HP you'll find that you should still have the manufacturer's warranty on the device. I would recommend having HP service the unit.

I read your post on Brighthand. Sounds a bit fishy, but getting serviced by hp should resolve the issue. Glad they are covering it.

Maybe you read my post on Dave's ... or there's some other poor soul out there with the same problems!

I emailed the seller, but I like the HP solution better, I think. The only down side is that HP threatens to charge $86 if they determine the issue is my fault (physical damage, etc.) ... I didn't like how they used the word "non-negotiable" in the sentence when describing it and insisting that I "understand and agree." We're talking live chat to India here, but the part about the charge was clearly canned script from management.
