Maximum CF Card Size
Will the hx4700 support any CF card size, or only ones up to 4GB? And does the same size limit (if any) apply to microdrives?

I was looking a getting a 4GB CF card, but they're about £200 compared to £130 for a 4GB microdrive - and then I noticed a 6GB microdrive...

(and on the same subject, what's the biggest SD card it will take?)

Any capacity CF card will fit - as long as it supports the CF Type I (solid state memory) or Type II (microdrive) specification.

The microdrives are available to 8 gigs now (0.34, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0 and 6 gigs preceding this), and a 4 gig drive can be bought thorugh ebay for around US$200.

The type I solid state CF media are available in capacities all the way up to 12 gigs.

One thing you will want to look for is compatibility of the make/manufacturer of CF with you PDA.

regards,
