Good places for Ipaq upgrade
Anyone have any ideas where the best places are for ipaq memory upgrades? I would like places with a good history of customer service.

Also, any idea if my warranty would be affected/if I had to return the pda to HP in the future for repair, would they still fix it?

Don't know anywhere for upgrades, but I think you will find that once the unit has been opened by anyone other than HP then the HP warranty becomes void, so you need to check with the company that's doing the upgrade what sort of warranty they offer (Does it just cover the upgrade? Do they provide additional cover? Can you buy additional cover from them/somewhere else?).

YOur warrantee would be gone.

A good company is www.ppctechs.com

Chris (the owner of this site) has recently had a 4150 repaired by them and he said service was great

Sending off to the US is going to cost more than £10, and that is the difference between ppctechs price, and the more expensive of the two, Expansys (which is based in the UK) .

Expansys send it to the US to ppctechs anyway - so go with that, as they will need to insure it etc

Hi and235100. To my knowledge, PocketPCTechs is the only outfit doing the 128MB RAM upgrade. Expansys is their UK partner. The advantage of you using Expansys is they handle all (any) customs/duties issues with sending your device to the U.S. The slight disadvantage is that it will add about a week to 10 days on the turn around time to get your iPAQ back. I sent my 4700 to PocketPCTechs on Monday and got it back the Friday of the same week. They are first rate in all respects.

Here's a link to the thread from my upgrade process:
