Connect V550 to HX4700 via B/T
Does anyone have any ideas why I cannot get a GPRS connection through to my PDA from my Vodafone V550? I have paired the two devices properly, and use the Web Sessions settings on my PDA as they are on my phone. When I connect, all I get is a 9.6k data call (WAP, I think) occuring on my phone, but when trying to access a web page, nothing happens. Any ideas?

Just a stab in the dark here, but has your phone account had the GPRS and/or WAP enabled?

Have you contacted Vodaphone for their recommended settings?

GPRS is enabled- i use it on my phone.

I could contact V/F, I suppose. They have always proved to be unhelpful, because strictly they do not like you to use the connection for anything other than your mobile. I can try though.

I use a v551 (US version of the v550) with my hx4700 without problems. To set it up I just paired the two, and then I used the built-in BT Phone Manager to set up the connection without a problem. Of course, BTPM sees it as a "generic" BT modem, but it works.

You might also go check howardforums.com and see if anyone there has run up against the same/similar problem. Tons of great info there.

No worries. Everything OK. I used BTPM, and it is great. I never noticed it before. Cheers Ninja and all others!
