Why??
Hi all,

It's the 3rd time that following rom update my pda could not turn on by pressing on-button while staying in and out of the cradle. However after unlocking and locking battery, it turns on.

Any experience on why this happens??

You're getting a crash with the screen off for some reason. You probably have some incompatible software. Older versions of Calendar+ have been reported to cause lock-up problems, so if you use it, you should update to the latest version.

If you use Betaplayer, leaving it on (especially without pausing before turning off the IPAQ) is not necessary and just a bad idea, in my oppinion. You should be using Magic Button or Wisbar Advance 2 to actually quit Betaplayer when it's not being used. It still will remember the last place you were watching, or listening when you reload it.

Other than that, you might have to try removing some programs, especially ones that have something running all the time, like Today screen items to figure out what the cause is.

It could also be that the battery lock is not fully across, and by unlocking it & locking it again you're moving it fully across.
