Simple ( AKA dumb ? ) Question
For just using sterio headphones or connecting to travel speakers do you need the audio adaptor, or is it only required when you wish to use a microphone ??

Thanks

You can connect your headphones/active speakers directly. By the way what is this audio adaptor you are talking about?

I think he thinks there is an adapter which converts the hx's stereo-out jack into a mono-out/mic in jack. If so, sorry man. There is no way to add mic-in to the iPAQ.

Well, actually I shouldn't say that. I soldered a mic-in jack onto the motherboard of my iPAQ 3850 and placed the jack in the stylus silo. I also cut out the back panel and mounted plexiglass and LEDs into the back of the iPAQ that pulsed to the music when playing music. (BLue LEDs). it looked wicked, until I was tinkering around inside of it again on another day and I accidentally put my soldering iron right through the motherboard and ruined the iPAQ. oh well, thats life.
