Tomtom Navigator 5 BT problem
I have got BT problem as well with Tomtom Navigator 5. I can see the com 8 to setup my leadtek 9553 BT GPS. But Tomtom told me there is no GPS device. Except Tomtom, other navigation software is working. Who could help me to deal this problem? Additionally, I can use TT v4.4 without any problem.

Did you un-install the old navigator software? If not, the GPS driver SW could be in conflict. Also - do you have to do anything to 'pair' the BT GPS to your PDA? If it ain't paired then the GPS driver won't see it.... I suggest checking your GPS instructions to see if you need to pair it first.

There's a problem with dodgy copies of TT5 doing this I've heard - the upgrade from 3 to 5 (at the very least) does not show this problem.

Dear Friend,
Thanks for your suggestion and solution. But...Before I installed TT5, I did hard reset and did GPS pair service. BT GPS direted to com 8. Everything seemed fine, just TT5 could not connect to Bluetooth GPS. I suspect TT5 did not open com8 for the GPS connection. Have you tried install TT5 on your hx4700? Did you succeed? Tell me your experience....please!!!

Thanks MAD4IT. Just got the solution to my problem. It is really strange but works fine. After install TT5, do not locate BT GPS by selecting "other BT GPS" but other wired GPS instead. Then adjust baund rate of you BT GPS. Finally divert it to your com8. This is the solution to my hx4700. No problem at all and happy!!! Thanks everybody here so helpful and generous.
