Hey, I just got a new cell phone (Sony Ericsson S710) and when I went to configure BT Phone Connect to use it to gonnect to the internet I couldn't find it in the list. I installed and ran the live update, and it acted as though it downloaded an update and sent it to the PDA. However, when I went back into the program and checked the list it didn't look like any new phones were listed. I'm not sure what to do, I checked BVRP's website and I couldn't even find BT PhoneConnect listed. Is there a new program I can use that any of you know of? Or maybe any clever workarounds??

Just go to BT manager, partner w/ the cell, then pick dial up network option and work from there

I go into BT PhoneManager and I tap the configuration button. Once inside, I select 'Communications Device'. In there, my old cell phone is listed and there is no option for my new Ericsson S710. Well, if I select 'Pairing' it asks me to select my phone, except there is no option for my phone. So what am I supposed to do?

It even says on the screen "If your phone is not listed, please run a Live Update" Well, after running the live update program not a single new phone appeared. Furthermore, if I try to run the BVRP LiveUpdate program on my PC, nothing ever starts up. Only if I actually run the install program will the Live Update process seemingly work.

Is there a better more intuitive program available?

Is your cell phone set to "discoverable"? Did you try to pair with it as a "Generic-Generic" device? Did you set it up as a whole new phone? Or as a new connection (which would use the old phone)?

BTPM New Phone steps: Tools--New--select Generic-Generic--Next--follow steps--Next--Follow screen prompts.

Yes, the phone is discoverable and I tried it using the Generic device, but it still didn't work.

Try setting as one of the older SE phones. T610 will probably work.
