pop3 mail
Firstly I have searched and tried the found answers but to no avail. I am having trouble ( ie no joy) sending mail from my pop3 account with the 4705. I have set it up countless times , rechecked all settings etc but still it will not send ( receives ok). Keeps saying could not download, cehck service and server etc
Now I had the same problem with my lappy and found it was Comcast blocking port 25, so setup to use there smtp server with no authentication and that sorted outlook 2002 out. Moved to pda and did the same but still no worky ?? Thought I would try it out on a different provider so tried at friends house with DSL , still no joy.
Any ideas or links. It used to work prior to Rom update but to be fair I cann't really say for sure that the rom update knackered it as I wasn't using it much at that time. My AOL is working fine on the PDA which is a geat bonus and help.

Thanks
Thanks Rob, have looked and will changed my search string to try and find more results.

I am aware of port 25 blocking etc which is a royal pain in the behind but generally it is just a case of using the service providers SMTP server instead of you pop3 one ( in this case for outlook 2002 I changed my out bound server from mail.onetel.com ( with server authentication) to smpt.comcast.net ( without authentication) and both send and recieve back up and running.
The problem is the same workaround does not appear to work for the PDA ? It should ( ?)as they are both using the same Cable Modem to Comcast ?

I have similar problem with both my home and work email.
To solve my problem I downloaded and tested "Webis mail" it worked fine for me. I believe the problem is with the email program in win mobile, I suggest you try the Webis demo and see if it works.
