I am aware of port 25 blocking etc which is a royal pain in the behind but generally it is just a case of using the service providers SMTP server instead of you pop3 one ( in this case for outlook 2002 I changed my out bound server from mail.onetel.com ( with server authentication) to smpt.comcast.net ( without authentication) and both send and recieve back up and running.
The problem is the same workaround does not appear to work for the PDA ? It should ( ?)as they are both using the same Cable Modem to Comcast ?

I have similar problem with both my home and work email.
To solve my problem I downloaded and tested "Webis mail" it worked fine for me. I believe the problem is with the email program in win mobile, I suggest you try the Webis demo and see if it works.
