Backlight doesn't always turn on

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and new to the iPAQ 4705. The problem I have is that when I select the power off button, the unit doesn't always power off all of the way. The backlight goes off, but you can still see a shadow of the display. Sometimes it will go off all of the way, but when I turn it back on the backlight doesn't always come back on.

Hi Steve, welcome.

Common question. To turn the unit off, kind of quickly press and release the power button. To dim the backlight, press and hold the power button.

And no, it's not documented that any of us can find
