How long to boot up
My 4700 is on the way. Just wondering, how long does it take the Ipaq 4700 to boot up. I am just curious how long it will take me to access say a phone number or other contact info. With my current PDA I just turn it on. I am a little worried about the time it takes to crank up and get rolling with the Ipaq. Comments on this issue?

As PPC's are never really off (they go into standby when you trun them 'off') it would be the same as your current unit - ie) instantaneous.

BTW - welcome to the site

Yes, if you are used to using a Palm device, you notice that when you push the power button, everything is instantly there. The PocketPC works exactly the same. When you power it off, the memory saves the exact stop that you were at before, so when you power back on everything is back the same, instantaneously.

Justin, don't expect the same responce time as a Palm. I ti noticeably slower.

Howerver, the upgrade is still worthed. You are getting a multi tasking product.

Also, if you have today plug-ins or wi-fi/BT on, it takes little bit longer to boot.
