Porporta case finally coming! (3 mo.'s and counting...)
Hey folks. I just wanted to let everyone that if you have been thinking about getting a magnesium case for your 47** Proporta is finally starting to ship again. I guess they started cutting down magnesium trees again :-D

So if the 3-4 month wait was too much for you before...maybe you can get one now...BTW, I spoke with a rep named Katie at Proporta and she was really cool about taking care of me when I emailed...they got back to me quickly and took care of my issue. I guess every once in a while you run across a good company and a representative that is actually helpful

I'll let everyone know how the case works out...can't wait!

Mine arrived yestarday after a 3 month wait.

My iPAQ is now safe and sound in the case.

PS if you swap CF cards in and out all the time you may have a problem as I need to partially remove the case to change the card. (not really a problem to me I have a 4Gb card ;-) )

I'm not actualy sure if I've got one with the new "paint job" as i've noticed a slight scratch already ???

I like proporta.. I've bought a case from them for all of my PDAs (except the zaurus which i retired before i ever neede a case). They really do seem to be a nice company

You can use the discount code passiton10 for a 10% discount on hardware... and a 20% discount on software (like tomeraider )

I think proporta is in the UK UK buyers should get it faster than cases.com, they do look the same. I had one of the original Magnum cases from cases.com and I'm waiting for them to get back in stock so I can exchange mine. I think they made the newer ones more durable.
