Does ROM Update include Audio Fix ?
Sorry to ask this - maybe trivial - question but does updating the hx4700 to rom ver 1.1 solve the "potential speaker damage" as stated in the release notes:
...
- Fixes issue with very high-volume audio signal from third-party applications that could result in potential speaker damage.
...

Or do I need to upgrade then apply the fix as I read it in aother post:

"The question is... has the audio fix been integrated. I see it unpacks two directories - one is the ROM update, one is the standard .exe audio fix. I guess we need to install this after the ROM update still :\"

Thank you for your help

Yes, it does.

If you read FIXES list it's the 3d point there stating that the new ROM fixes issue with very high-volume audio signal from third-party applications that could result in potential speaker damage.

I do know it is listed in the fixes (as I mentionned it), but I just received an iPAQ coming back from the repair center:

- it was upgraded with ROM 1.1
- AND THE AUDIO FIX WAS LISTED IN ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS...

So this made unclear to me if the fix is included or not...

Yes it does, but it screws up any hi capacity batteries you may have or may wish to purchase so beware.

PS HP are trying to fix the issue (so they say!!!!)
