VPN with hard OTP token devices?
My VPN uses RSA Securid hardware tokens. (a keychain dongle that has an LCD with a constantaly rotating number visible on it) It is accesible from Windows XP VPN, but you have to load an RSA software on the machine, then enter the passcode and current number from the token to access the VPN.

I downloaded the RSA Securid software token for the PocketPC. Of course, it just generates demo tokens pending my IT department figuring out if they can issue a software token or not to me.

Is there any means to connect the VPN using the hardware SecurID device?

Check this out. Work has a Cisco VPN and uses the Securi ID for authentication which this software is supposed to support. I have tried the demo to see if I could get it to go, but with no luck (but that might just be because of me). It does not list the Hx4700 as a support device (whether that be a problem or not), however it implies that other models will become available as they are tested.

I used the Movian client from Certicom on my 3970 with BT/GPRS and WLAN without problems. On the 4700, it broke the Wifi. I tried the Apani client and it broke the radio too.

Certicom don't support the client anymore, instead they supply a toolkit for you to build your own client. There's a link on the Certicom site to www.anthavpn.com where you can request a demo of a client they've built with the Certicom toolkit. I tried it on my 4700 (rom 1.10) and it seemed to work. The UI is not very intuitive, and it left the wifi icon on the 'ipaq wireless' page orange (even when successfully registered to my AP), but it did seem to work.

Apani told me their next release will support GPRS, but not the 4700. They did tell me they would support it at some stage though.

WM5 might change things before then... although it may be for the worse
