I just made the Purchase for the HP 4700..
Its 1:52AM (Eastern Time) here...and After much Debate between the HP 4700 & AXIM 50v..I went online and purchased the HP 4700. It was one of those moments of its gonna be Now or Never...that i actually hesitated before I pressed "Confirm Purchase"....lol. I found a deal for $488. It said Brand New/Factory Sealed - so I dont believe its refurbished.

Hopefully, I made the right choice with this PDA. And the thought of knowing of AXIM 50v enhanced graphics chip or a newer version of the HP 4700 doesnt pop up within the next 3-4months wont HAUNT Me....

I guess will see what happens.

LoL....you can still drop out if you give them a call in the morning! hahaha

However, I'm certain you'll fall in love with it very shortly.

I have both but use the 4700 99% of the time. The screen size is better (that 0.3 inches does make a difference) and I have not seen any difference in graphics speed so you are not missing anything there. I had the X50v first and then picked up a 4700, The Dell is really nice but I vastly prefer the bigger screen. I even like the touchpad.

However, DO NOT UPDATE TO ROM 1.1!!! Stay with the 1.0 ROM right now. You can but a 5700mah battery for it and it lasts forever (almost)...HP killed all the extended batteries with their latest ROM upgrade, a malicious piece of firmware that cripples battery life.

There will always be a better device around the corner so just enjoy it as long as you can. That is a great deal you got also!
