Storage overload after a sync of mobile favoutites
My new 4700 seems to chew up the storage when I try to sync my mobile favoutites.

I have approx 10 favourites set and usually syn once a day to then read on the train. My previous PPC would syn these favourites and result in approx 1000 updates. The same favourites when sync'd on my 4700 results in 2500 - 3000 files and when I bring them over to the 4700 using Active Sync, my storage space increases drastically by approx 30 Mb.

Anyone with suggestions to correct this?

Why should favourites sync'ed to one PPC be different when sync'ed to another?

Have just attempted another syn of my favourites after my last hard reset.
I took readings of my RAM (using WIMR) before the sync and then after the sync. Interestingly this time, the sync failed with the error "There is not enough space on the device".
Where does all the data get placed when you sync mobile favourites?
Both RAM before and after the sync are pratically the same. The only change was my Temp folder increased by 2.4k, yet my devices storage went from 3.29 to 23.66Mb.

I know I can go into PIE and do a Tools/Option/Memory Clear History & Delete files, but then I will not be able to read my data on the train.

I have to correct the above statement "Both RAM before and after the sync are pratically the same. The only change was my Temp folder increased by 2.4k, yet my devices storage went from 3.29 to 23.66Mb." I'm sure last night there was no change, BUT this morning when I started WIMR, I could see an additional 15Mb of data under \Windows\Profiles\Guest\...
I'm surprised that as the data is sync'd across to the PPC, that it isn't somehow reduced in size. I'm sure my previous PPC (an ASUS a620BT) took the same favourites across yet only grew by approx 3 - 4Mb.

I also was able to find out how much data was downloaded when I was in IE and did a Tools\Synchronise. On the Active Sync tool, you can do a check of your favourites, look at settings and it will show you how much data is waiting to be sync'd over to the PPC. I was able to discover that some of my favourites had 'images' and 'sound' checked which would have probably added to the size. Think I'm getting to understand storage manipulation a little better.
