Agenda Fusion in VGA mode...
Does anyone know if there is a release anywhere for Agenda Fusion7 to run in VGA mode on the HX4700? I have installed SE_VGA and the screen res on this device is awesome. I'd love to have some apps run using this.

Anyone any ideas?

It is already made for VGA devices (started with version 6.16)
If you're talking about while in SE_VGA mode, I believe there will be a setting for True-VGA mode, or Force Full VGA...something like that.

Agenda Fusion is True Vga compatible... the secret is to install it when it is in True Vga mode.

At least this was the case for me... I am running oz_vga in my device.

So will that mean I need to reinstall? I don't see any of the icons or buttons across the bottom of the screen when in vga mode... should I reinstall?

Sounds to me like you installed it before you were in True 640x480 mode... try uninstalling and re-installing Agenda Fusion.

What I seem to be confused about is that if I do this, I will have to switch between VGA and non VGA mode on the 4700 using SE_VGA when I want to use Agenda Fusion. This required a soft reset and so don't want to be doing this each time I need to use that app...

Am I confused... ??? Can you elaborate for me please if there is a way for Agenda Fusion to automatically switch between the two display modes so I can continue to use other apps or do I need to keep the 4700 in VGA mode...?

I think you have to install it in vga mode and then you are good to go.

No program is going to let you switch between modes without a reset... Your going to have to decide on which mode you wish to use... and go from there.

IGuidance GPS software installs both a SE VGA and QVGA (works better for true VGA) version. When you select the shortcut for the program, it doesn't initially run the program. Instead it runs a program that decides which version you need, deletes the other and then runs the actual program.

Terribly frustrating the first time you try running in true VGA mode after you've already used it in SE VGA mode and then find that the program has deleted itself.

If you delete the first program and then only run the actual GPS programs, you can select the one that runs best for whichever mode you are in.

So, never say never. There aren't very many that work for both but there are some.

If you install ozVGA and use that instead of SE VGA, you might be able to create two different set ups that work the way you want for each of the screen modes. ozVGA has the ability to swap registry information and also files automatically when you switch between SE VGA and true VGA.

But I read elsewhere on here that programmes specifically written for the 4700 will automatically throw it into VGA mode when launched... is this not the case then?

As far as I know... you have to choose between screen formats and live with it. With the unit in its standard mode of operation it is going to double pixel everything... there are probably some programs that have been written to get around this... for the most case there isn't. The easiest way to deal with it is to choose which mode you want to run in... and find software that will run in that mode.

As I said I am using OZ_VGA and am quite happy with what I have. The downside is that almost all the available games will not run in this mode... but then I don't play many games anyway.
