PDA Shutdown?
For the HP 4700..is there a shutdown button you should do before shutting down like a PC? -- OR -- or just press the OFF button, as normal.

I just don't like having to press anything mechanical when I can do it via software. I figured if I don't hit the power button often, less chance of it wearing down

The only advantage might be to clear out some RAM and close applications. You can however get softeare to manage your memory and kill applciations...
