Help with Mobile Favourites & Storage
I have approx. 10 mobile favourites which I sync towards the end of the day. I then read the sync'd info while on the train.
I have noticed that my storage useage climbs up fairly quickly when I do a sync and wondering if I can sync the mobile favourites to an SD or CF card?
My 10 mobile favourites can be approx 250 - 350 items and within Active Sync on my PC I can see the amount of data 'pulled down' for each favourite. The total amount of data seems to be compressed when it syncs to the PPC by approx 50% (thank goodness, but wish it was higher). In my case, I sync across approx 5 - 7Mb each time. It does seem to over write the data from the previous day's sync which is good.
But looking at the actual files which come across under \Windows\Profiles\guest\Tempory Internet Files\Content.IE5 - there are 4 sub directories created eg 4LENWPER. Now within each of these sub-directories I have all the htm, html, jpg, gif files etc.
My question is (sorry for the length) I also have 30 - 35 files called, login[1], login[2] etc and each one of these is approx 38.5Kb. I deleted all these files from all 4 sub-directories the other day, yet was still able to read my sync'd favourites. Now the 30 odd files x 4 sub directories x 38.5 can be 4.5Mb of 'useless' data.
Does anyone know why these files exist? Is there an easy way of stopping them coming over?
Appreciate any comments.
