Problems with viewing PDF-files
I bought an IPAQ HX4700 especially for proffesional use with PDF-files. Unfortunately I have problems with certain files converted by CVISION Technologies', I am unable to open the files with Adobe Reader for PocketPc 2.0 and receive the remark: "Unknown Filter. Some contents cannot be displayed.". With ClearVue PDF some of the date is displayed but the layout and most of the text is completely lost. Using my laptop I can open every file without problems using Acrobat Reader 5.0 or 7.0. Is there any solution to this problem, maybe I can fix the problem with my own Acrobat Reader/Writer?

Welcome ND837,

Unfortunatly I have all the same issues as you. If you want to view PDFs properly on your PDA (flowed text, searching, bookmarks, etc) try Repligo (www.cerience.com). It's very good!

jb2001, Thanks for the advice. I installed repligo with succes and use it now to view my converted pdf-files. Of all the converted files (250), there are only 2 that leave me with difficulties. One converts, but it's a table and the content becomes unreadible. The other file (550pages) gives an error when almost finished compressing the file, saying one page is too complex to convert. But other than that, RepliGo software is great, I will need to buy it after the 14 day trial period though...

Another advantage of repligo iis you can convert any document that can be printed. I use it to convert CAD drawings then print them directly via BT to my HP450 while in the field.
