Certainly.
I first installed a USB Bluetooth adapter on my company provided laptop as per the instructions included with the adapter and paired my laptop and iPAQ. I then used the Bluetooth setup wizard to install the 'Network Access' service. I right-clicked on this service (in 'my Bluetooth places/my device') and selected 'properties'. From the drop-down menu I selected 'Allow other devices to access the Internet/LAN via this computer' and clicked 'OK'.
Then I opened the 'Network Connections' panel in WinXP's Control Panel. Then I right-clicked on the 'VPN' client, selected 'properties' from the menu, and then selected the 'Advanced' tab at the far right of the VPN Properties dialog window. Then I checked the option 'Allow other network users to connect through this users Internet connection'. Then I selected 'Bluetooth Network' from the drop-down menu and clicked the 'OK' button.
Finally, I activated Bluetooth on my HX4705 and opened the Bluetooth manager. I then clicked 'New', selected 'Connect to a network', and followed the instructions selecting my laptop as the device providing the sevice.
In a perfect world that's how it's done anyway. There are many variables that might alter the required process. I hope this helps!
This post was made from my HX4705 via a Bluetooth connection to my company laptop and internet sharing linked to the VPN client which is connected through a Sprint CDMA network connection - all while I sit a couple hundred feet from my car (containing my laptop) on a motor vehicle ferry crossing the Puget Sound. I'm jazzed!
