"not enough memory" with powerpoint
Dear all
I have this disturbing trouble concerning the 64SDRAM in my iPAQ 4700. I have closed all running programs and only run "ClearVue Presentation" to open my PowerPoint program. But after loading about 50 slides the program won't continue because it's running out of memory. What can I do about it?
Thank you in advance.

How big is the presentation?

After a soft reset how much free memory do you have?

You might want to consider pocketslides. It converts ppt files into it's own (optimised) format though, but does let you edit them on your pda...

OUCH!!! Too many programs/data saved in your RAM. It shoudl be only around 3-4 MB after a reset and PIE cache clear. Load your apps into IFS if you can to make more space for program RAM.

I know that once mine got that low, it gave me quite a few Word errors.

Have a look at the tutorial Installing, running and uninstalling applications.

It is linked in my MyPDA (on the left). As you are new to PPC's you may want to check out the other tutorials as well

Rob's got it. Ipaq File STore (IFS) is what's left over in the ROM that we can use for storage...just like an external card. When you click to install from your desktop, it asks if you want to install to main/default. Click no and it will ask where you want to install. Select IFS and hit OK. Voila...installed to ipaq file store.
