Lost audio when exiting from MediaPlayer10
When exiting from Media player 10 on my Hx4700, it tends to leave whatever is playing running in the background. I thus need to close the app using MEMORY app.

When I do this, I then lose all audio on my device. No clicks or any sound from any program. I need to soft-reset to get sound back.

Anyone have any thoughts on how this can be avoided?

thanks

Hi mikeypas. I haven't updated my ROM yet so I don't haveWMP 10. Sorry I can't help out.

mikeypas,
I was able to duplicate exactly what you mentioned. I too had to do a SR to get the screen taps back.

Try stopping the playing file before you exit out of MP10. When I stopped the file, the audio worked correctly no matter which method I used to exit MP10 (using the Memory app, or the task manager).

Hope this helps.

Thanks Geekyguy, I thought I had tried that, but I suppose not.
In any event, stopping (or pausing from the big button), seems to work fine. It still would be nice if it were really closed, but memory seems to do the trick.

I suppose it happened when I tapped STOP ALL for a global shutdown of apps, that it closed media player while running.

anyway, thanks for the reply!
cheers
mike

oh yeah no wonder my PDA sometimes becomes silent, i never thought about the WMP10 and Shut All affecting the sound.
Yes i had the same problem and recovered only after SR.
