.wmv Problem After Rom Upgrade.
I've just finished upgrading the Rom on my 4700 to version 1.10 and i thought everything had gone fine...

However i've found that some .wmv video files that played perfectly well under Beta Player before the upgrade now refuse to play. When attempting to play them i get the following message.

Player: Video codec (Windows Media Video 9, WMV3) not found!
Try Checking the homepage for additional codec plugins.

If i ignore the message then the files play with audio but no video.

Now i'm guessing that this must be something to do with Mediaplayer 10 taking over ownership of the files? If so is there anyway around this? I'd be happy to use Mediaplayer for those files but unlike Beta Player it won't play them full screen and they don't play as smoothly in Mediaplayer.

I've tried downloading and installing the additional codecs from the Beta Player site but that's had no effect unfortunately.

Any help will be gratefully received as these are important files that i need to use on a regular basis.

Thanks in advance.

Check out this thread. It explains what has happened and how to 'fix it'
