web capability vs blackberry
tired of stopping at wi-fi hotspots to get emails and access into sites (about 100 emails/day). Thinking of blackberry.

Between My ipaq and Blackberry, which is faster and more user friendly?

Which wireless service/equipment should I get for the ipaq, if it is quicker/better than blackberry?

Thanks,

DQ

Comparing non-convurgent PPC devices to Blackberry's is like comparing apples and oranges when it comes to wireless. With Blackberry devices you have a wireless carrier that will allow connectivity for wireless email and access to the web. Convurgent devices such as PPC Phones and Smartphones will allow capability similar to Blackberry.

On non-convurgent PPC devices it is possible to get email or internet access without access to wifi hotspots. For me I use my Bluetooth connection to my cellphone. My PPC connects to my phone via Bluetooth for GPRS connection to the internet to access email and the web. Other options are IR connection as well as PDA to Phone cable connection.

It all depends on what you have to work with. Personally I would not be able to use all of the cool things with a Blackberry as I could with my PPC. Maybe a PPC phone is something you may want to look at.

I started out with blackberry and then moved to a converged pda/phone and am now using the 4700 with a Motorola V710 Bluetooth phone and cdma 1X or dialup as well as Wifi. this is the best option by far as the 4700 is a much more advanced device than any converged devices available.

how do you connect 4700 to non-blue-tooth phone?
I have sprints unlimited vision plan. Except for the pda phone, they do not have blue-tooth phones.

Thanks so much

Sprint is indeed carrying Bluetooth phones; just not alot of them. I got a SE T608 through SprintPCS which is Bluetooth.

I'm unsure as to whether I'm mistaken, but can't you buy an unlocked phone and use it with any carrier you want?
