hi,
i installed, or better i tried to install the firmware update 1.1 and my computer crashed. now only the bootloader starts when i start my handheld. when i try to install the firmware update now, i always get a warning that the bootloader didn't answer on my pc and the hx4700 shows the status bar.but the hx 4700 is connected and reacts(a statusbar appears when i start the firmware update but it remains at 0% and if i disconnect it from the usb port, the display shows serial->normal).has anyone a solution?

You are basically, toast. You'll need to send it back to HP to fix.
