I agree with JNGold for recommending spb Pocket Plus. Although it also slows down a little bit, not a great deal though.
As you can imagine, the today screen plug-ins are always resident in the memory, making the available memory to programs smaller.
Besides, in your case, Battery Pack's developer may have written some code which uses some APIs to occupy particular memory addresses, making other memory segmented. Just my guess.
Try something else is always a good attempt, if something bad happens.
