WM5 Included Software?
Is anyone else mad/annoyed that HP totally ditched the included programs on us? After WM5 i no longer have Ipaq backup, Clearvue acrobat reader... all there is is Pocket informant and dockware!
Am i missing somewhere in the included software files that these are included or are we just out of luck?
this kinda sucks... other than that- the pda works fine :-)

I didn't care too much for the clearvue apps, so that wasn't anything to bother me. I was a little pissed about iPAQ Backup going to the way of the do-do though..

no clearvue pdf viewer

well, unless there's a free and equal (or better) pdf viewer for the ipaq, there goes my idea of upgrading...

well, you have to pay for clearvue's pdf reader. however, i know that adobe makes a reader for ppc. now i've never used it so i can't testify how good it is, but at least its an option

I tried it in the early days, but removed it, can't remember the specifics (how many apps do we install then discard for some reason.), but I went back to clearvue as it was better than Adobe's option.
Bill..................;-)

Well obviously some have not been reading other forums on WM5. If you did you would know that sprite backup (even the new version) doesn't support credent protect tools yet. Sprite are working on a fix at the moment. I too was caught out as I have WM5 on 2750 and am missing the same programs as yourselves. There is a work around, Spb Backup or Sunnysoft Backup.
Cheers!

let's not forget that Acrobat Reader plays nice with "real" VGA mode also

Acrobat Reader for PPC is useless on 4700 without VGA Brute Force applied. Yea... spb backup is the only solution for now

I found that Adobe works very well with Force High Resolution - v1.51 that resides in your settings and is very easy to use and very small. There is also a WM5 version.

Very nice, light weight app for taking advantage of VGA.

Oh, forgot to mention that is was free.

Does iPaq wireless support the VGA resolution after the upgrade? Or does it still look terrible like it did with WM2003SE? No biggy, just curious.
