Stereo Bluetooth headphones. See my related articles (use a forum search for a2dp and my nick)

I'm not trying to be smart, but why is this hacked ROM OK on Aximsite and others not? I'm sure there's a valid reason, I just don't know much about hacked ROMS.

Probably because the 4700 was pretty much useless running WM5 and the developer community has made it useable as Menneisyys points out. No credit to HP for first creating the disaster with 2.0 and then abandoning any hope of fixing it. They left it to the community to fix their mess.
All credit to the likes of Kozhura and PdaViet for giving the 4700 with WM5 a life.
UPDATE (later the same day): if you overwrite the contents of the already installed OzVGA (see above) in \Windows with the contents of THIS file, you’ll get all the taskbar icons. (Thanks to XDA-Developers forum member xktygfhnbbfor the link). Note that, during copying (in standard SE VGA mode - do NOT do it in real VGA!!), you will see some original files not overwritable. This is NOT a problem - leaving them alone (that is, leaving the old versions) won't cause any problems.
UPDATE (06/28/2007): some answers to questions I've received:
unfortunately, there's still no WPA-2 support and, given that cooked ROM's for, say, the Wizard also had problematic WPA-2 support, I don't think it'll work either
it seems you don't need to do apply the fake server hack either, unlike in the previous, 2.01 version
CF handling seems to be OK (it was fixed in 2.01)
Bluetooth seems to be pretty stable upon resumings. So far, I haven't encountered out of (driver) memory errors (which plagues most other Widcomm BT stack-based devices / OS versions) when resuming the device with Bluetooth enabled. This is definitely good news. (I only wish A2DP were supported.)

Exactly. If it was an upgrade of a perfectly working model, I wouldn't have dedicated an article to it. The old, 2.01 (2.03) version of the WM5 iPAQ was useless - it's a "hacked" ROM that fixes this mess and makes the hx4700 an up-to-date, highly useful PPC (except for the current problems: lack of A2DP, WPA-2, which may affect some users).
Menneisyys,
It is good to see the review you did of this ROM and your endorsement of it as an improvement over the 2.01. There are many of us that have followed your advice on making this work and appreciate your work. If you get a chance and time, I would appreciate your review (and possible comparison) between this ROM and the PxDxA .08 version from the thread linked in your post. I have been using this, with your fake server hack, for a while now and seems stable and fairly quick most of the time. With your support for the kozhura ROM though, I'm about to try it.
Regards.
Hello, Thanks for info ! Currently updating the ROM. Is navpoint + VGA hack only ones needed with this ROM version ? What about server hack and others ? Thanks again for your efforts making hx4700 usable :approve::)
