Ok so is ebay the best place to buy wm5 for the 4700?
I just got my 4700 and it is sweet...

I noticed on hp site they have rom update to sept 16 2005 and the one on my device is april 13,2005

is there a best practice upgrade route?
say upgrade to the latest ppc 2003 from hp then buy wm5 and install?

eBay is probably your best bet to get the WM5.0 upgrade.

Before you attempt the update in the link the previous poster provided, you'll need to have a legitimate version of WM5.0 running on your hx4700.
