WLAN stack clearing ??

With my hx 4700 (version 1.1 latest update, not WM5) I have again and again problems with logging into a WLAN. If I add a new WLAN spot, it will not accept and store the keys. (WEP and WAP settings).
The green button is on, but the connection is not made.
I think it is a problem of verifying the autorisation.

Today I tried a hard reset. After reconfiguring the basic settings, a window opend where I got a choice for some hotspots and a field for the key. I could type the key and it logged in at once! I never saw such a window before?

Is there a way the clear the WLAN stack, without making an hardreset with all the reinstalling all programms?

Gerhard

With wireless active, go Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Network Cards. This should take you to the 'Configure Wireless Netorks' page which will show a list of all networks you've connected to or that are currently in range. Holding the stylus on each with give you a popup menu. Select Remove Settings for each network you want to remove. (Note, you will need to be out of range of the network for it to actually remove it from the list.)

This deleting works with my hx 4700.
But there seems to be some settings, which cann't be cleared; only by a hardreset.
Is there a setting in the registry which can be cleared?
Which keys are resonsible for the WLAN settings in the registry?

I'm not sure what settings you are referring to. There are dozens of WLAN-related entries in the registry but none I would advise you to mess with.
